They’re here - Dragon Matrix!

The dragon-seeking crowds that gather among the trees will be transported to an augmented reality to encounter a host of virtual creatures, as well as a fairy glen, a pathway of spiders, the red witch tree and baby dragons nestled safe within their newly built dragon nursery. All are set to wow audiences throughout October.

In total there are 20 talking creatures to befriend or fear along the journey.

Dragon Matrix sets visitors off on a quest to discover six dragon stones snaffled from the Museum of Dragons and along the way they will engage with a brand new presence - The Spirit of the Dragon – a chameleon-like sculpture at Monikie Loch that entices people to sing to it

Visitors can also explore the Tag Tent and play or watch moveable animations projected on the walls.

Event creators are Edinburgh-based theatre company Vision Mechanics. They are sure to dazzle people with their imaginative show that boasts illuminated installations, stunning woodland lighting, music and, of course, giant figures and weird creatures.

After last year’s monster hit, the inaugural Dragon Quest that attracted over 5,000 visitors, tickets for the follow-up family show Dragon Matrix are now available via tickets.dragonmatrix.org.uk
