Two charities have been handed a share of almost £30,000 raised during a sold-out charity dinner organised by Thorntons Investment Management Ltd.
The Archie Foundation Tayside and Children’s Aid have each been presented with a cheque to help support the vital work they do for some of Scotland’s most vulnerable children.

The Sports Challenge Dinner, hosted by Andy Nicol and Alan McInally, took place earlier this year at the Apex Hotel in Dundee.

Organised and sponsored by Thorntons Investment Management Limited, the Sports Challenge Dinner is in its third year in Dundee and with final funds now confirmed it raised an impressive total of £29,000 for the two charities.

The event pits guests against each other in a ‘Question of Sport’ style quiz with the overall champions taking home the Sports Challenge trophy - as well as the honour of being the top sports brains in Tayside.
Stephen Webster, Chief Executive of Thorntons Investment Management, said: “It is absolutely fantastic to be able to hand over almost £30,000 to these two great charities, our highest fundraising total from the event to date.

“The Sports Challenge Dinner has once again proven a great success in Dundee and I’d like to thank everyone who participated and contributed on the night. Roll on next year.”
