Overgate is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Dundee CCS Stars, the city’s professional ice hockey team.

Formed in 2001, The Dundee CCS Stars play their home games at the Dundee Ice Arena, the 2,300 seat capacity venue just off Kingsway, and one of the largest ice rinks in Scotland. The team currently compete in the UK-wide Elite Ice Hockey League, the highest level of ice hockey competition in the country.

This new partnership will include initiatives such as Overgate providing poster sites to promote forthcoming Dundee Stars matches, increasing exposure of the team’s developments across Overgate’s social platforms as well as in-centre player appearances to a high footfall audience.

To celebrate the new partnership, players from The Dundee Stars will be making a special appearance in Overgate tomorrow (Tuesday 25th), on the upper mall outside Debenhams, 3.30pm – 4.30pm. The public are invited to bring their cameras as part of the meet-and-greet.

Commenting on the announcement, Malcolm Angus, Centre Manager, Overgate said, “Overgate is delighted to be partnering with The Dundee Stars and helping to support the efforts of the team over the next twelve months. The family-friendly, homegrown ethos of the club has a fantastic synergy with Overgate and we look forward to announcing many exciting initiatives through 2016/2017.

Elliot Shaw, Commercial Manager, The Dundee CCS Stars, commented, “We are thrilled to welcome Overgate as a new partner to the club. The management team has been fantastic to deal with and we are confident this collaboration will generate mutually beneficial positive promotion, with Overgate providing a welcome platform for spreading the word further about the Stars.

Stephen Ward, Director, The Dundee CCS Stars added, “This is a great deal for both parties. We are delighted to have Overgate as a new partner and look forward to working with the team over the coming year.”
