Would you like a unique opportunity to play a part in Scotland’s most exciting and successful Students’ Association?

 

Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA) exists to serve the students it represents. We have an acclaimed reputation for the delivery of student experience, acknowledged by ranking top in Scotland in the National Student Survey over the past few years.

 

DUSA is seeking to appoint someone who is committed to the Students’ Association and its values to serve as a Non-Executive Member on our Board of Trustees. This vacancy provides a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future vision and strategic direction of DUSA through effective leadership, good governance and maximising opportunities.

 

The ideal member would:

 

  • Be receptive to student leadership & democracy

  • Have passion, commitment & skills to help us in our future development

  • Have a good strategic vision

  • Have excellent organisational, interpersonal and practical skills

  • Enjoy working with highly motivated students providing advice, guidance & support

  • An understanding of the 16 – 24 year old market

  • Attend Board of Trustee meetings 6 – 8 times a year (normally evenings)

 

As one of Scotland’s larger charities, Dundee University Students’ Association serves around 17,000 students and has a turnover in excess of £6m per annum.

 

This post is not remunerated but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.

 

Application from those with senior financial background and/or holding a strategic position of responsibility in a large multi-disciplinary organisation would be particularly welcome.
