Our next Hospitality Academy starts on Tuesday 21st March and we are welcoming applications for this now.  Please find attached information flyer and application form.  The course is open to all 16-24 year olds who have an interest in learning more about what it takes to work in the Hospitality industry.

We will be holding an information session on Thursday 9th March at 10.30am where applicants will get the opportunity to ask us questions and find out a little more about the course.  This will be held at our Hilltown office at the address below.  We will continue to take referrals beyond this date and up until Thursday 16th March.

Please note this will be our last Hospitality Academy, therefore, we would appreciate your assistance in encouraging speedy return of applications to secure a place.

 


Appetiser: something to whet your appetite...

In addition to delighting coffee connoisseurs and good food gourmets with our very own Roseangle Café, Craigowl Communities has set its sights on delivering a work training programme like no other. To give Craigowl Hospitality Academy real depth of flavour, we have connected with local hotels, coffee shops and restaurants to create an employer-led training experience that will give people an insight into the job opportunities available in the growing hospitality sector. In short, this course will provide you with the right mix of ingredients to develop your career in hospitality.

 

Starters: How to get involved…

Whether you are interested fine dining, café culture or hotels, Craigowl Hospitality Academy is open to anyone aged 16 to 24 who has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will be pleased to hear that you are only a short application form away from starting one of our two week free courses.

 

Mains: Course content…

You will be provided with a full training package to give you the expertise employers are looking for. Your training will include:

 

• introduction to hospitality;

• customer care skills certificate;

• employers’ expectations;

• job shadowing;

• introduction to food hygiene certificate;

• introduction to barista skills; and

• experiencing good service.

 

Desserts: What you’ll finish with…

By completing the course you will have gained industry standard qualifications, vastly improved your employment prospects in the hospitality industry, and will have made connections in the sector. What’s more, you will also receive on going CV and job search support.
