As part of Hillcrest’s 50 Grand to Lend a Hand fundraising initiative, Big Mac and his Quarter Pounders raised over £260 for the Archie Foundation hosting an afternoon tea at the weekend.
Tea and cakes and lots of other treats were on offer for sweet toothed Dundonians to enjoy. Kelly Banner, one of the team members said “We were over the moon to see so many people turn up and luckily had lots of food to offer people. A huge thanks has to go to Braithwaites who donated us raffle prizes and Rainbow Bright Nursery who supplied the delicious sandwiches.
“We’re supporting the work of the Archie Foundation because we’re all really impressed with what they’re bringing to Dundee and the difference it will make to children’s’ lives.”
Fifty Grand to Lend a Hand is part of Hillcrest’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Big Mac and his Quarter Pounders is one of over 20 teams who are collectively aiming to raise £50k for local charities by the start of October.
