A Gin Tasting Evening has been organised in Dundee to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event will take place on Friday 1st September at Majestic Wine Dundee.
10 gins will be available to try as well as some handy hints and tips for making the perfect serve.
The Dundee branch decided to hold the event as Majestic Wine have recently announced Macmillan as their charity of the year and the local store decided they wanted to get involved and make their own contribution the partnership.
Sophie, General Manager of Majestic Wine Dundee said: “We are really looking forward to this event, we regularly host gin and wine tasting evenings in store and are delighted to be holding this event in aid of such a worthy cause.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased at £10pp from Majestic Wine, 172 Arbroath Road, Dundee.
All the funds raised will be used by Macmillan to fund vital cancer services for people affected by cancer, from specialist cancer nurses to grants for cancer patients with money problems.
Macmillan’s Fundraising Manager for Tayside Ailsa Corbett, said: “Sadly the number of people being diagnosed with cancer is increasing every year and that means Macmillan’s support for people living with cancer is in more demand than ever.
“At Macmillan, we know how cancer can affect everything. We’re here to help people live life, no matter what, but we can't do it without the amazing people who fundraise for us.
“The money raised will go towards helping Macmillan support people affected by cancer at the time they need us most.”
