Scone Palace has appointed Stephen Brannigan, a contract caterer with an impressive pedigree in event management, as Head of House Opening.

Stephen, formerly General Manager with Elior UK at Rangers Football Club, has joined the historic Perthshire visitor attraction in a newly created role in which he will oversee the catering, caretaking and housekeeping teams and be involved in the Palace's accommodation lets.

Chief executive Sarah Butler-Roué said:

"We're delighted to have Stephen on board. With his strong pedigree in contract catering and events, he comes armed with the skills necessary to strengthen and further develop Scone Palace's position as a leading visitor attraction and venue, and go-to for both private and corporate event space, as well as luxury accommodation."

Stephen said:

"I'm thrilled to be joining the hard-working team at Scone Palace. It's a dream come true to be in charge of such a historic venue. With a great line-up of third party events, our excellent luxury accommodation lets, and our annual Spirits of Scone Halloween show, these are exciting times for both the Palace and its visitors."
