University of Abertay to host 4th International Investigative Interviewing Research Group Conference.

The theme for the iIIRG 2011 Conference, expected to attract around 150 international delegates to the city, is 'Research and Specialist Interviews'. Confirmed keynote speakers for the event include Professor Ronald P Fisher from the Department of Psychology at Florida International University and Saul Kassin, Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, New York.

Dr Fisher is renowned as the co-developer of the Cognitive Interview, a technique which enables witnesses to remember more details. At iIIRG 2011 he will propose a preliminary framework for understanding and conducting research on repeated interviewing.

Karen Tocher, Business Tourism Manager at Dundee & Angus Convention Bureau comments, 'This will be the first time the iIIRG event has come to Dundee. It provides an opportunity to showcase all the area has to offer to a new audience. We hope those visiting Dundee for the first time will be inspired by the city and decide to return to further explore it and the surrounding areas.'
