Changes to local paper bring big successes.

The Evening Telegraph has been named as the the UK's best-performing regional daily newspaper, according the the Audit Bureau of Circulation's figures for July to December 2010.

Sales of the Tele increased by 3.4% over the period, to 23,331 copies each night.

Editor Richard Prest said the newspaper had seen a number of major developments over the last year. He said: 'My team have really worked hard over the past 12 months to come up with a number of initiatives that have improved the quality of coverage that we offer each night. The aim really has been to produce a newspaper that fights for Dundee as a city and strives to bring its readers the best possible stories.'
