Special city centre tour will commemorate last witch burned alive in Dundee

Dark Dundee is to host a special tour as part of the Dundee Women’s Festival, focusing on the last woman burned alive as a witch in the city.

Members of the public will follow the tale of Grissell Jaffray and visit locations of significance in her lifetime.

The tour will start at St Mary’s Church, outside the Overgate Centre, and finish outside the Howff graveyard. £1 from every booking will be donated to the Dundee Women’s Festival.

The event will run from Tuesday March 6 to Sunday March 11 at 6.15pm and 7.30pm, with an extra showing on the Sunday at 4pm.
