On Wednesday 28th February 2018, Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce were delighted to host Marcin Zydowicz, Trade Commissioner, Canadian High Commission during his multi-sector visit to Scotland.

Mr Zydowicz met with 6 Dundee & Angus businesses from various sectors including Business Services, Manufacturing and Food & Drink.

Commenting on the Trade Commissioners visit and its importance, Alison Henderson, Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce CEO said;

“We were delighted to host Marcin and connect Dundee & Angus businesses with his service. As businesses become increasingly global in their outlook, connecting with markets where there are less barriers to entry, and good support for inward trade & investment activity is ever more attractive. The feedback from members was very positive and we look forward continuing to support Marcin and his colleagues, and to bring local firms international opportunities to explore. As part of the wider Scottish Chambers Network, our combined efforts on international trade are more positive and fruitful than ever.”

 Reflecting on the trip Mr Marcin Zydowic commented;

“It was great to meet with local companies and learn more about their interest in Canada. Firms ranging from food and drink to automotive parts demonstrated exciting commercial opportunities between Canada and Scotland. With such a longstanding history of trade and investment between the UK and Canada to build on, our Trade Commissioner Services team look forward to further supporting those ties.”
