The Board of Directors at Dundee International Women’s Centre would like to announce that the following leadership changes have been agreed, as detailed below:

Regan Shaw – Chairperson

Having lead Dundee International Women’s Centre through an exciting period in its history, Regan will be stepping away from the role of Chair for an initial period of six months. Whilst we are sad that Regan will no longer be our Chair, we are delighted that she has agreed to remain as a valued Trustee on the Board. We would like to thank Regan for the enormous contribution she has made to DIWC, and we look forward to continuing to benefit from Regan’s expertise as Trustee.

Helen Smith – Vice Chair

We are pleased to announce that Helen has agreed to step into the role of Chair for an initial period of six months. Helen has been a crucial member of the Board for a number of years, both as Finance Director, Treasurer and Vice Chair. Helen has continuously developed our understanding and maintained our focus as a Board on our responsibilities for the effective governance of the organisation. With her depth of experience, and her passion for the social cause of Dundee International Women’s Centre, we believe that Helen is an excellent choice to lead the organisation through our next exciting ventures.

Caroline McKenna – Chief Executive Officer

We are happy for Caroline, but very sad to announce that Caroline will be stepping away from her role as Chief Executive Officer at Dundee International Women’s Centre in order to pursue her own business interests as founder and Director of Social Good HQ.

As our valued Chief Executive Officer for the past four years, Caroline has worked tirelessly to re-establish our core purpose as an organisation; shape and deliver our strategies; raise our profile and establish relationships; build and develop the team, and bring about change for the better at every level of the organisation. This has resulted in more people, supported by Dundee International Women’s Centre, being able to make real and tangible differences in their lives.

Caroline’s business, Social Good HQ, is a successful and growing organisation whose purpose is to support and enable charities and social enterprises to succeed. We are delighted that through Social Good HQ, Caroline has agreed to continue to work with us on a Consultancy basis to support us in delivering some ambitious projects through 2018/2019.

In addition, Caroline, on a voluntary basis, will continue to take a lead on our very popular annual Bite + Blether event fundraising and showcasing the work of DIWC.

We are truly indebted to Caroline for everything she has brought to the organisation; we look forward to her continuing support, and we wish her every success in her future business endeavours.

Beth Morgan – Projects Manager

We are delighted to announce that Beth has agreed to take on the challenge of a new position as DIWC Manager (Strategy + Operations) at Dundee International Women’s Centre for an initial secondment period of 6 months.

In her relatively short time in the organisation, Beth has made a significant impact and delivered improvement; carrying on the work, and strengthening the values that Caroline has established. Beth brings a wealth of experience to her role, and her intrinsic passion for enabling people to make a difference in their own lives, means that we believe she is an excellent choice to lead the operational aspects of the organisation, in alignment with our strategic plan.

We are experiencing exciting times at Dundee International Women’s Centre and would like to thank all of our external stakeholders for continuing to support us and make it possible for the valuable work of DIWC to continue. We are sure you will join us in wishing Helen, Caroline and Beth the very best in their new roles.
