Tactran Appoints New Partnership Director

The Tayside & Central Scotland Transport Partnership (Tactran) has appointed a new Partnership Director. Dr Tom Flanagan, currently Interim Head of Economic Development at Perth & Kinross Council, will take up the position from 1 July 2018, succeeding the current Director, Eric Guthrie, who is retiring on 30 June.

Announcing the appointment Tactran Chair, Councillor Brian Gordon said “I am delighted to welcome Tom Flanagan as the new Director of Tactran. Tom is a highly qualified transport professional with significant experience working at chief officer level in a number of local authorities in the fields of transportation and economic regeneration. He brings a wealth of relevant knowledge and experience which will ensure that the Partnership continues to develop and deliver on its statutory role and duties moving forward”.

Councillor Gordon added “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our retiring Director, Eric Guthrie for all of his hard work and dedicated contribution to establishing and developing Tactran since his appointment in 2006, and to offer Eric our best wishes for a long and well deserved retirement”.
