Chamber members involved in entrepreneurial challenge.

A group of students undertaking the Robert Gordon University, BA Management Studies course at Angus College put their entrepreneurial skills to the test this week in a Dragon's Den scenario. As part of the New Business Project module, the students were required to develop and plan a business idea and present their idea to a panel of 'Dragons'.

The three teams of students who entered the 'Dragons' Den' had to impress the judges which included representatives from local businesses and experts on the subject of entrepreneurship.

The panel this year included Chamber members Royal Bank of Scotland and Montrose Role & Sail Co.

Although the judges were impressed by all three presentations, it was the group 'Sweet Creations' who won the judges' approval with their innovative alternative to giving flowers. The group devised a business which offers bouquets filled with chocolates and sweets instead of flowers, making it the ideal gift for anyone with a sweet tooth.
