Dundee and Angus College is delighted to be delivering the Flexible Workforce Development Fund on behalf of The Scottish Government for all Levy Payers, across Public, Private and Third Sector organisations.
This fund can provide up to £10k for workforce development training to enhance productivity through upskilling and reskilling existing workforces.
This is in addition to apprenticeship support or assistance that employees may access through Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) and other complementary funding steams.
D&A College has been involved with a number of local businesses who are already seeing the benefits of this new initiative. Currently 39 regional companies have accessed the Fund with more than 1.5k employees participating in a range of upskilling opportunities, all of which will have positive impacts on the productivity of the companies involved.
Courses cover a broad range of subjects including Photoshop to Food Hygiene; Social Media to Stress Management; Welding to First Aid at Work; Customer Service to Health & Safety.
And the range of local companies signing up is just as diverse, featuring everything from solicitors and furniture stores to motor groups and manufacturers.
The good news is the deadline for application approval has been extended to June 2018 with all training to be concluded by the end of September 2018. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity - please contact business@dundeeandangus.ac.uk for more information on how to apply.
