Xplore Dundee’s driver training team is helping to lead the way on accessible travel in Scotland.

The bus operator’s trainers have picked up a ‘Highly Commended’ certificate at the Scottish Transport Awards 2018.

The event, which took place in Glasgow last week (Thursday 21st June) highlights the best of Scotland’s public transport industry.

Xplore Dundee’s three driver trainers, Willie Crosbie, Ann Carty and Jonathan Eggleton were shortlisted for their work helping to train mobility scooter and electric wheelchair users to board the bus easily and safely.

Managing Director of Xplore Dundee Christine McGlasson said: “We’re really proud of our trainers and I want to congratulate them for this award. They often go the extra mile to make sure that everyone has access to bus travel in our city, and I’m very glad their hard work has been recognised by others in the industry.”
