Dundee’s new and existing students can look forward to better value bus travel, with brand new mTickets available now from Xplore Dundee.

The operator’s extended its mobile ticket range to include four new products which will directly benefit young people studying at the city’s college and universities.
Managing Director Christine McGlasson said: “Students and young people are a vital part of Dundee’s community and need all the help they can get to make it to lectures and classes!
“So we’re making it easier and cheaper for them to travel to college and university by bus. We can provide a network of routes which covers every campus in the city and mobile ticketing to suit all pockets and timetables. Now ‘sleeping in’ is the only excuse for missing a lecture!’
Available to buy now from the Xplore Dundee mTicket app are:
• Student Daysaver - £3 – a brand new ticket
• Student Weekly - £9.50 – price cut by 50p compared to regular £10 paper ticket
• 10 journey ticket - £12.50 – buy now, travel later
• 10 x Daysaver bundle - £29
All tickets can be accessed on the app and downloaded straight to smartphones, removing the need to carry cash or paper tickets. Matriculation cards must be shown for all student journeys bought via the mTicket app.
