Hotel management company Focus Hotels Management Ltd. have celebrated the news that their property, Hotel Indigo Dundee has been named as Scotland’s best hotel in the Sunday Times’ Top 100 Great British Hotels.

The news comes only four months after the hotel’s opening this summer, which followed a multi-million pound renovation, transforming the 200-year-old former mill into a chic four-star property.

The hotel, which boasts 102 bedrooms and in-house restaurant Daisy Tasker, has been lauded for it’s chic, industrial interiors and witty nods to Dundee’s history and heritage.

General Manager William Inglis has said of the accolade: “we’re absolutely thrilled to be named as Scotland’s top hotel by The Sunday Times. We hope that it will encourage more people to visit Dundee from further afield. 2018 has been a pivotal year for the city, and we look forward to continuing to offer the highest level of service for our guests.

Hotel Indigo Dundee was Focus Hotels Management’s first Scottish property and has been quickly followed by the addition of Stirling’s Hotel Colessio. Focus Hotels’ third property, Staybridge Suites Dundee is scheduled to open in early 2019.

Steven Frewer, Director of Focus Hotels Management Ltd. has said of the award, “Having been involved with the development since 2013, we are delighted that the hotel has been recognised for the outstanding quality of design celebrating the rich history of Dundee, along with the exceptional locally-sourced food and service provided.”
