Dundee-based supplier of battery systems provides power to Rolls Royce's one-off electric Phantom.

As the luxury car maker looks to a future without petrol-driven cars, it has chosen Axeon to provide the power for its unique electric-powered Phantom.

As a test vehicle to show off around the world, Rolls Royce has said that this car won't go into production but will be used to garner comment from customers and journalists all over the globe.

Axeon's battery pack for this pioneering car is believed to be the biggest battery package yet fitted to a road car, and is another exciting use of their power systems, following on from their announcement in May that they were working closely with Jaguar Land Rover South Africa to produce an all-electric version of the Land Rover Defender for use in game parks.
