Has the V&A helped the property market in Dundee?

It’s now just over two months since the spectacular opening of the V&A and what a success it has been. Thousands of visitors have come to the City creating a real buzz, this along with the many high profile concerts held in Slessor Gardens opposite, has had Dundee the talk of Scotland particularly in the last few months.

Has the V&A helped the property market in Dundee?   Time will tell, but it certainly has created a buoyancy in the City Quay area with sales surpassing expectations and produced an urgency not seen for some time. The modern development has been improved further with the summer opening of the Foxlake Aqua Park, as well as excellent dining facilities available nearby and Dundee City amenities within a convenient walking distance. This area has fast become a very sought after place to live. Indeed the properties located here, regardless of seasonality, continue to sell; and sell well.

Directly opposite The City Quay a new exciting development is in progress within the former DP&L Maritime House soon to become available in the New Year. This will feature a mixture of luxurious contemporary apartments featuring a lift and parking all within this beautiful iconic building.

Keep your eyes peeled for further details.
