Visitors to ANGUSalive’s Meffan Winter Show 2018 have voted for their favourite amateur artwork in this year’s open art exhibition.
The winner, announced on Friday 14 December 2018, is Hazel Irvine for her atmospheric mixed media piece “Still Morning”.
Visitors admired the beautiful depiction of the still and misty calm of a winter’s day, and the dreamlike and mysterious quality of the piece.
ANGUSalive Museums & Galleries team was delighted to see artists of all levels, both professional and amateur, from all over Scotland enter their art work into the ANGUSalive Meffan Winter Show 2018.
All work in the ANGUSalive Meffan Winter Show is for sale and any pieces purchased as Christmas gifts may be collected on Saturday 22nd December.
The exhibition continues to Saturday 29th December admission free at Meffan Museum & Gallery, 20 West High Street, Forfar, DD8 1BB which is open Tue-Sat 10am-5pm.
