Dundee Museum of Transport is gearing up to host its first ever dedicated open day to Trucks! Truck Extravaganza will be taking place at the museum on Sunday 19th May as part of Stobfest 2019.

From classics to less well-known articulated trucks, there will be a variety of vehicles as well as activities for all ages and interests. The museum has teamed up with the Dundee Slot Car Club for this event who will run a racing competition and there will be book and model stalls, face-painting and a museum trail.

Museum volunteers will also be on hand to serve visitors on the popular tea-on-the-bus.

Event organiser and museum volunteer Brian Robertson has been putting plans in place for this event since the beginning of the year. “Some of the vehicles will offer a trip down memory lane for visitors.  We have over 15 trucks booked in, some local and some from further afield. We are hopeful for a good turn-out as the event will help support the museum’s activities and the Slot Car Club are raising funds for the Children’s Ward at Ninewells.”

The event starts at 10:30am with last admission at 3pm.
