Wet Wet Wet to be the first band to play in Hall C at P&J Live

Following on from their hugely successful UK Spring Tour, Wet Wet Wet have today announced a sixth date Scottish tour, which kicks off at P&J Live. Wet Wet Wet were the first band to play at AECC in 1990, and will be the first to play in Hall C at the brand new event venue and arena, P&J Live. Wet Wet Wet including Graeme Clark, Tommy Cunningham, Neil Mitchell and Kevin Simm will play to crowds in the North-East on Saturday 2 November 2019.

Graeme Clarke said “We can’t wait to get about out on the road. For us, there’s nothing like coming back to Scotland and playing to the best fans in the world.”

Bursting into the scene out of Glasgow in 1987, Wet Wet Wet have undeniably been a musical phenomenon. The band have gone to sell over 15 million albums and singles, including three No.1s – Help From My Friends, Goodnight Girl and Love is All Around.

Tommy Cunningham added “This is an exciting time for Wet Wet Wet. Our fans have been incredibly supportive over the past couple of years and we’ve been blown away by their reaction to Kevin joining the band. We wanted to come back home and play these shows as a thank you for the support the fans have shown us.”

In Kevin Simm, the band has found someone who shares their vision and has one of the finest male soul voices that the UK has to offer.

Kevin Simm commented “Playing in Scotland means so much to the guys, and to me now that I’m an honorary Scot! The Scottish fans in particular have really welcomed me into the band and their enthusiasm and excitement at the shows has been amazing.”
