Stagecoach have announced new and improved services across their Express City Connect network, which came into effect this week.
- Hourly low-floor journeys to Ninewells and Cupar
- New links to Kirkcaldy and Leven
- Reliability and frequency improvements
The changes follow a review of Stagecoach East Scotland’s network of services and consultation with customers and local councils.
Stagecoach East Scotland’s Express City Connect network operates high quality coach services link Dundee to Fife, Perth, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
The award-winning Express City Connect Network now offers additional routes, faster journeys and improved frequencies. New and improved day return tickets are also available for selected journeys from Dundee into Fife on the Express network.
Services from Dundee into Fife have been improved, with new links to Kirkcaldy and Leven on service X58. Day return tickets with an introductory price of just £7 will be available for journeys between Dundee and Kirkcaldy, making Stagecoach’s luxury coach services an attractive travel option for day trippers.
Service X54 provides hourly, low-floor journeys from Ninewells to Cupar and Glenrothes via Dundee City Centre. Combined with services X26 and X58, journeys between Cupar and Dundee will run up to every 20 minutes.

The Express City Connect network has received the accolade of Top Express Operation at the UK Coach Awards four times (2015, 2016, 2017, 2019), as well as numerous commendations for the successful operation of individual routes forming the network and for marketing campaigns undertaken to promote the routes.
