Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places

Published

30th October 2019

Angus Council is carrying out a statutory review of Polling Districts and Polling Places.

The aim of the review is to ensure that every elector in Angus has access to reasonable voting facilities.

A month-long public consultation begins on Monday 28 October 2019 and The Returning Officer is keen for members of the public to participate in the review.

The views of disabled residents would be particularly welcomed, as well as any people or organisations that have expertise in relation to disabled access to premises and facilities.

Where possible and appropriate, anyone who provides comment and response, should include proposals for alternative venues that could be used as a Polling Places.

Details of existing polling arrangements, draft proposals and Returning Officer’s representation are available for inspection at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, DD8 1AN and at public libraries and ACCESS Offices. There is also information on the 2019 Review on the dedicated Elections and Voting page of our website.

Comments and representations can be made in writing to the Returning Officer, Angus Council, Digital Reprographics Unit, Sylvie Way, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, DD8 1AY or email: elections@angus.gov.uk

The deadline for consultation representations is 5pm on Monday 25 November 2019. Representations received after this date will not be considered as part of this review. The outcome of the review will be published before the end of 2019.
