ASC specialist care unit to host recruitment drive in Dundee

14th November 2019

An advanced specialist care unit based in Balbeggie, Perthshire is hosting a recruitment fair in the centre of Dundee this Saturday.

ASC, a specialist care unit for adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, is currently on a recruitment drive with a focus on attracting new employees from the Tayside area. The team are looking in particular for carers and support workers to join their multi-specialist care operation.

With plans to introduce a shuttle bus from Dundee to help people find employment in a more rural location, organisers are hoping to welcome many prospective employees to the fair taking place from 10am-2.00pm on Saturday November 16th at Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce’s City Quay offices.

ASC Manager, Leanne Williamson will be on hand to answer any questions and on-the-spot-interviews will be offered to the right candidates. Leanne said:

“Our rural location can be a barrier to potential employees who don’t have a way of travelling to work here. Being within a commutable distance to Dundee, we hope that by offering a shuttle bus service will be able to solve this issue for people who would like to work in our specialist care unit. We’re looking forward to meeting people interested in working at ASC at our recruitment fair this Saturday. It’s a great opportunity for people to find out more about us as well as  a chance for us to find out whether candidates could be the right fit for a role with us.”

As part of care home operator Balhousie Care Group, ASC is a group of residential units including three purpose-built units, a converted hotel and, a few miles away in Coupar Angus, specialist bungalows.

To come along to the recruitment fair, the address is Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce, 37 City Quay, DD1 3JA. For more information call 01821 585012.
