The annual Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC) conference, which took place yesterday, saw 200 delegates from across the sector meet to exchange ideas.
The conference focused on the developments and potential applications of industrial biotechnology in Scotland from pharmaceuticals and chemicals to protein.
The first day was followed by a civic reception where Zero Waste Scotland announced a new funding opportunity, developed in partnership with IBioIC, to find high value, low-carbon solutions for waste and by-products from fish processing and mortality. This targeted funding opportunity follows demand from the industry to find higher value solutions for this material.
Circular Tayside is happy to support local businesses applying for the fund through 1-2-1 meetings and access to other Zero Waste Scotland support. Please contact Circular Tayside through vasomakri@circulartayside.co.uk
