Service Update - Xplore Dundee - Temporary Timetables

Published

27th March 2020

Xplore Dundee is committed to doing its part to keep essential workers moving - those in hospitals, supermarkets and other frontline services. However, with passenger demand falling dramatically during the COVID-19 public health crisis, we have taken the decision to reduce service provision to a basic level.

From Sunday 29 March: core services will run to half-hourly TEMPORARY TIMETABLES

Additionally, minor services will be suspended until further notice, including:

- Services 4 | 23

- Tendered services 51 | 57a/59 | 73b | 137/138 | 139

- School services

- Service 36c is still running as normal in the morning

We continue to maintain an intensive cleaning regime and we’re encouraging our employees and customers to practice social distancing, according to government advice. We’d encourage the use of contactless for on-bus payment and ask customers to use the space available by spreading out around the bus as much as possible and staying a minimum of 2 metres apart at all times - when getting on and off the bus and when choosing when to sit. To help, we will be deploying double-deckers as often as we can.

Additionally we would politely request that passengers do not sit near the driver. This is to protect our workforce as they carry out their duties to keep key workers mobile. Our suggestion would be to sit no further forward than the wheelchair/buggy zone of the bus.

All details of our emergency timetables and up-to-date information can be found on our website at bit.ly/XDCovid19 with regular updates also posted on our social media channels.
