Stagecoach is making further changes to its local bus services from today (Wednesday April 1).
The bus company will be taking over the morning service that in recent days had been provided by the Angus Council mini-bus shuttle.
Angus Council had stepped in temporarily to ensure an important local link for key workers between Kirriemuir and Forfar, to make a connection with bus services in Forfar for onward travel, including the 20 and 20C Service to Dundee.
Angus Provost and Kirriemuir & Dean Councillor Ronnie Proctor said: “I am delighted that we were able to plug this gap in services for key workers living in Dundee and would like to thank our staff who made this possible.
“There was by all accounts a very healthy take up of the early morning shuttle bus and I am grateful that Stagecoach has made these alterations in their own local timetable to take this on from us in what we all recognise are extremely challenging and unpredictable times. Thanks too to our staff who made this short but important connection journey possible.”
