Abertay PhD Student Wins 'Best Presenter' Prize at International Conference

PhD student Jason Bennett, from the University of Abertay Dundee's School of Contemporary Sciences, has been honoured for his presenting skills at a major international conference.

Jason was picked as best presenter at the recent Worldwide Distilled Spirits Conference held in Glasgow, which attracted 350 industrial and academic delegates from around the world.
 
His lecture on 'the Impact of ultrasound on bioconversion of distillers spent grains to bioethanol' formed part of the technical programme of the conference, which this year had the theme of 'Science and Sustainability'. Jason received a cheque for £500 from The Institute of Brewing & Distilling (who organised the conference) and complimentary registration for the next WDSC (worth £800).
