COVID-19 – Return to work toolkit

22nd June 2020

Healthy Working Lives have produced a toolkit, including guidance and template forms, to help you plan for staff returning to the workplace during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This guidance can help the process go as smoothly as possible, tackle any issues, and make your staff feel safe, valued and listened to.

You can adapt each of the forms to fit your business.

This toolkit contains the following guidance and forms:

  • a detailed description of six key actions to help you plan for your staff returning to the workplace
  • a flow diagram showing the key actions
  • an email/letter template to use for sending to your employees
  • an example of a staff questionnaire to send out with the letter/email
  • a blank return to work form with definitions to help you complete the form
  • an example of a completed return to work form – for a furloughed employee
  • an example of a completed return to work form – for an employee who has been off sick before the pandemic
  • an example of a stress risk assessment form for individual employees and teams.
