Cellexus begin growth drive

17th August 2020

Dundee biotech, Cellexus, started on a growth drive this quarter with the addition of two new team members, an office expansion as well as closing their latest share round.

Cellexus welcomed Dr Adam Ostrowski to a newly created Technical Application Specialist role. With a background in Microbiology, Adam’s role will focus on supporting new and existing customers to ensure they are using the CellMaker system in the most effective way. This includes providing technical expertise and advice on optimising their bioprocesses.

Craig Walker also joined the Technical Team, increasing in-house production capabilities.

The bioreactor manufacturer have set their sights on growing their team further, with plans to hire within their technical, sales, marketing and administration teams.

To support this growth, Cellexus have added a new lease to their office locations. Currently residing in Unit 6, Mayo Avenue, Cellexus have added Unit 5 to their portfolio, efficiently doubling their footprint.

With a recently closed share round, they also now have the funding required for further product development, with plans for bioreactors with smaller and larger working volumes next in the pipeline.

“It is a very exciting time for Cellexus. Our expanding product range will allow us to approach new markets and new sectors, while continuing to bring the very best solutions to our customers. We are also looking forward to bringing new talent, knowledge and experience into the team based here in Dundee.”
