MHA Henderson Loggie today announced the appointment of three new partners, strengthening its business recovery and insolvency, internal audit, external audit and accounts and business solutions teams. Shona Campbell, David Archibald and David Taylor, previously directors with the accountancy and business advisory firm, will take up their new partnership roles from October 1st.

MHA Henderson Loggie Managing Partner David Smith said: “This latest round of promotions recognises not just the talents and experience of some exceptional business advisers, but their achievements in business growth and developing the careers of others in their team. I’m pleased to welcome them to the partnership, they are an excellent addition and will give us an even stronger platform for our future growth.”

Since joining MHA Henderson Loggie two years ago from KPMG, Shona Campbell has doubled the size of the business recovery and insolvency team providing advice to stressed and distressed companies.

Shona said: “Business recovery and insolvency skills are in demand in today’s environment and my promotion to partner marks our commitment to support businesses facing financial challenges and those who have difficult decisions to make about their businesses. It’s not a time to take risks when livelihoods are at stake and business owners need straightforward professional advice to properly understand the options open to them and consequences they may face.”

David Archibald re-joined MHA Henderson Loggie in 2016 to develop the firm’s internal audit portfolio after 5 years in internal audit and programme management roles in the NHS. A graduate of Dundee University, David initially joined MHA Henderson Loggie in 2000 and has conducted work with external audit, internal audit and consultancy clients across the full spectrum of public sector bodies in Scotland.

David said: “In the current financial and operational environment, private companies and public sector organisations need a strong and responsive internal audit service more than ever. As a team we have developed strong foundations over the past three years and collectively we have grown our internal audit service by focusing on driving up service standards and understanding the challenges and opportunities which our clients face. This has led to high client retention rates and delivered significant expansion and diversification in our client base. So, I’m really looking forward to further developing our internal audit department as partner.”

David Taylor has been with MHA Henderson Loggie since 2004 and leads the firm’s Healthcare Sector group and co-leads the grants team across its four offices as well as advising charities, professional practices and owner-managed businesses.

David said: “ In these uncertain times  it is essential to have regular communication with our owner managed businesses and healthcare clients to help them through the current financial challenges they are facing with proactive and timely advice based on accurate and up to date management information. On the grants side, although the end of the Brexit transition period is looming and there are a lot of unknowns, particularly in the higher education sector, we are currently busy working on EU grant applications for large commercial clients and universities.

I am ready and eager for the opportunities and looking forward to further expanding our accounts & business solutions and grants teams to manage and develop these areas of our business.”
