Have you got what it takes to become Dundee’s newest retail sensation?

Dundee’s Wellgate Shopping Centre is on the hunt for talented new or existing entrepreneurs to enter into a competition to win this once in a lifetime prize. A FREE shop for a whole year!

On launching the competition, Wellgate Centre Manager, Mo Dennis commented, “The Management team at The Wellgate Centre, are committed to promoting and supporting retail businesses in Dundee.

“We work closely with our current retailers in order to help them maximize the benefits of being in a high-profile location and we’re always looking to help businesses with new opportunities.

“We understand that this year’s pandemic has bought a level of economic uncertainty for many, but history dictates that this uncertainty can have a positive effect on new business registrations. If we can help just one business realise its potential by de-risking it in its first year, I think we will have done a very worthwhile thing.

“We’re urging all experienced or new entrepreneurs to complete our online questionnaire before the 16th November. We’ll then shortlist the applicants and invite them to present to our judging panel.”

Both Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce (DACC) and accountants MHA Henderson Loggie are supporting the campaign to promote new retail business.

As the leading business membership organisation in the region and part of the worldwide long-established Chamber of Commerce brand, DACC has over 760 members and work hard to help provide each and every one of them with the business connections and opportunities they need to flourish.

Along with unlimited PR & Marketing throughout DACC’s channels, the winning business will also be able to access training and events, networking opportunities, introductions to other Chamber members, Business Directory listing, Free HR/Legal/Health & Safety advice, support to access International markets as well as the opportunity to take advantage of exclusive member to member offers available through the network.

Simply complete the application on the The Wellgate Centre’s website (www.wellgatedundee.co.uk) before 16th November and you could be in with a chance of winning your own shop free for a year. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to pitch their concept to a panel of Judges at The Wellgate Centre from on 23rd or 24th November.
