Local food insecurity charity Dundee Bairns is extremely grateful to receive a hearty £1000 donation from community-minded business, R&M Bearings International Ltd, which will help them to support children and families facing hardship over the festive period.

Started from small beginnings by Steve Martin in 1983, R&M Bearings is a hugely successful family business which now serves customers all over the world.

Commenting on the donation, Business Development Director, Craig Robertson said: “We’re immensely proud with our ties to Dundee and the local area. All employees are Dundee born and bred so to help a local charity, which itself is helping local people, is a big thing for us.”

Project Coordinator for Dundee Bairns, Genna Millar, added: “It’s brilliant to see local businesses giving back to the communities they came from. This donation will help us with our Christmas food provision this year, which will see us support over 850 children in the city through referrals made by schools. We couldn’t do the work we do without support from local companies like R&M Bearings and their team.”
