Dundee residents are being invited to find out about new projects that will benefit their community in an online pitch event.

A number of local social entrepreneurs will be pitching for up to £5,000 to go towards start up costs for their ventures at the Resilient Communities Do It Award pitch event on Monday 7th December at 1pm.

Anyone interested in attending can register for free at: https://resilientcommunities-pitchevent20.eventbrite.co.uk

This event has been organised by Dundee-based social enterprise, The Circle, in partnership with national funding body, UnLtd. This pitch event is part of UnLtd’s Resilient Communities programme which works with local social entrepreneurs to build resilient and enterprising communities through supporting people to create their own solutions that improve the places they live in. Projects whose founders received funding through this programme in previous years include Uppertunity CIC which provides skill development and social inclusion activities for adults with additional needs and CanDu, a patient-led cancer support network in Dundee.

Founder and CEO of The Circle, Kirsty Thomson, encourages anyone interested in finding out more about local projects to join this event,
“This event is a terrific opportunity to hear about the up and coming projects that will be benefitting the Dundee community. We have seen so many inspiring individuals come through the Resilient Communities programme over the past 3 years and we can’t wait to hear from this year’s candidates.”
