In Your Shoes - Tracey Quin

Tracey Quin is the Business Development Manager at Perth Racecourse and heads up the sales and marketing function at the course.  She is known for her energy, drive and is most definitely an ideas person! She wants to make you all aware that her racecourse is your racecourse, and especially from Dundee where we are only 30 minutes away.

People Buy People

It’s Valentines and a long weekend of R&R is on order.  After various trials and tribulations on my surprise adventure, checking in and swiftly out of one property, I truly witnessed the ‘People Buy People’ ethos.  Sales are now won on the experience not the product and people are the key. Own it and make a difference for every customer.

Storm-proof Lipstick

I’m in Edinburgh today and can’t wait to meet some new prospects and talk about our networking at the races event.  I love people.  Sounds very glamourous – doesn’t it!  In the city, fancy lunches, entertaining.  Picture the scene, TQ suited and booted, lippy on, hair perfectly groomed….TQ blown sideways across George Street, rain lashing down, umbrella blown inside out….but we, business developers, arrive on time with our lippy still on and do business with a smile. Aim High!

A Platform for Partnerships

Today is photoshoot day! We have now appointed our three official charity partners for the year and it is time to show them off.  I am talking life of a model!  Picture the scene, its freezing cold, bitter in fact and we are out for hours posing and prancing around the winning post in a t-shirt!! But the most important part is that we got that perfect picture and will raise well over 100k for our three charities!  The funniest part was our PR girl pretending she was a horse running past the grandstand just to make us laugh in the cold!!

Mic Live

Aberdeen is the destination for today, planning our first Radio campaign in the North East!  I hope you have all heard us on Tay FM, we loved last year’s campaign, whether it was Derek jumping fences or Morag drinking Pimms, the fact that we featured our key staff in the campaign sang true to our morale’s at the course and again ‘People Buy People’!  And it’s about being creative after all! Listen out for this year’s advert – you may feature…

Silent Disco and Topless Butler Combo

Today is a day in the office with a huge scrapbook as the finer details of Ladies Day are planned.  Hospitality for near on 2000 guests and only 11 weeks to go!  This is the fun part, we are talking silent discos, topless butlers, Pimms gardens, Best Dressed Judges, The Soul Kings and Breast Cancer Now!  Outfits girls, that’s where the thoughts are at!

And just as the weekend is about to begin my head starts to flutter with so many more ideas on what we could be doing next year…
