In Your Shoes - Angela Linton

Hillcrest Housing Association was established in 1967 and is one of Scotland’s largest Housing Associations.

They provide housing and support in Dundee, Edinburgh, Angus, Perthshire and Fife, with over 5500 good quality, well maintained homes at affordable rents. In each area of operation there are local offices with housing advice teams who can provide an immediate response to the customers.

We do rewarding work at the Hillcrest Group!

Marking a particularly happy start to the week, I added our latest accolade to our awards cabinet today.  We were delighted to win Housing Association of the Year at the Scottish Home Awards last week.  The work we do is very rewarding in itself but peer recognition is always welcome!

Appraisal time again!

Would you think breaking free from appraisals would be a perk of being CEO… This is not the case, and mine was today! Conducted by our chairperson and two other board members, my appraisal is always a bit of a daunting experience but it went well. Roll on next year’s!

All aboard - next stop Edinburgh!

Accompanied by the other members of the Senior Management Team and travelling in style on the Hillcrest bus, I left Dundee for Edinburgh at 7.30am this morning. After a productive meeting we enjoyed a networking lunch with the team at our Edinburgh office before heading back to HQ in Dundee.

People call it team building, I say exhausting!

On Thursday’s several of us make our way to Dundee’s Lynch Centre to enjoy few competitive games of badminton - arguably Hillcrest’s sport of choice. We usually play doubles so it is great opportunity for more team building, a bit of midday exercise and to work off any office-based frustrations!

Surprise birthday celebrations to cap off the week!

I’m celebrating a special birthday soon (Age? No comment) and to mark the occasion, my colleagues threw me a surprise party at our HQ today. We are a very sociable bunch and when we aren’t providing top quality housing and improving lives we all enjoy a Hillcrest Group get together.
