Visiting New Colleagues

Whilst I enjoy my office’s proximity to McDonalds and Costa Coffee, it’s always nice to have an occasional change of scene.  Today I paid a visit to our new Perth office on Tay Street.  It was good to meet our new colleagues and I managed to slot in a couple of client meetings to ensure that it wasn’t a total jolly.

Golf Tuesday

I always thought golf was boring.  It turns out that its actually quite fun.  A new routine of team building involves a Tuesday trip to Ballumbie driving range.  A lot of wild swings and stray shots but practice makes perfect…  At least nobody hit the green keeper (….just).

Rewarding Lunch From Happy Client

One of the things I like about my job is when I know that I have done something good or worthwhile for someone.  Today was one of those enjoyable occasions with the added bonus of a free lunch at a grateful client’s expense at the Royal & Ancient Golf Club in St Andrews.  I enjoyed the lunch so much I got half of it on my tie.

Do I Ever Do Any Work?

Sadly my job is not all golf and free lunches.  Today involved an appearance at the Employment Tribunal which what the bulk of my work revolves around.  I think it went well today but I won’t find out for a few weeks until the judgment is issued.  Meantime, fingers crossed.

Tennis Themed Networking

After a busy morning at the desk, I managed to unwind with some networking hosted by Blackadders.  Tennis, Pimms and a good mixed crowd in Boardroom 1 made for an enjoyable end to the week.
