Guest Speakers

Joining us prior to lunch to speak about increasing International trade and innovation in SMEs is Ivan McKee, MSP. Ivan was appointed Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation in June 2018. His career has involved a number of senior roles in manufacturing and business, managing companies in the UK as well as Poland, Finland, Croatia and Bosnia.

 Early in his career, Ivan spent two years with VSO in Bangladesh. He is currently a trustee of the charity CEI, which supports education and health projects in Bangladesh.

Ivan has been MSP for Glasgow Provan since May 2016. Brought up in Glasgow, he studied at the University of Strathclyde and the University of Newcastle.

After lunch we will hear from Paul Gilshan, CEO at Tusker, who will join us to talk about his business journey and his vision for the future of Tusker.

Tusker are the UK's leading Car Benefit Company and help hundreds of organisations from Airbus to The National Lottery offer a Scheme to their employees.

Starting his career in Media and Advertising Paul worked across many clients including National Lottery, Walkers Crisps and Channel Four where he launched E4 and More4. After getting the telly bug he moved to Sky where he rebranded Sky Movies. He then moved to the Times and Sunday newspapers where he launched the first digital paywall. He then moved back to TV and to ITV before moving free to air satellite platform Freesat. With vast experience across many industries he then took on a new challenge and moved to the fleet company Tusker which he now runs as CEO. He’s Tuskers trusted brand guardian and marketing guru.
