The Scottish Government has made a commitment to net-zero emissions of all greenhouse gases by 2045. But, did you know that the single greatest cause of the climate crisis is the carbon emissions created by everything we produce, consume and too often bin after just one use.

How is your business preparing for 2045? Support is key to helping business reach these goals but do you know what support is out there? How can you learn from other businesses who are supporting a sustainable region?

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED, SHOULD YOU WISH TO CHECK LAST MINUTE AVAILABILITY PLEASE EMAIL SARAHYOUNG@DUNDEEANDANGUSCHAMBER.CO.UK

Join ourselves and the team from Dundee City Council, Zero Waste Scotland and Circular Tayside in the run up to WWF's Earth Hour 2022. We'll hear more about the support available to businesses across city and the opportunities to collaborate with others as we embark on this journey together. We'll also be joined by businesses who are leading the way with innovative, sustainable and exciting ways to help you on your way to Net Zero.

Over a networking breakfast attendees will enjoy a sustainable vegan breakfast provided by Serendipities, a social enterprise in the form of a cosy, quirky café, dedicated to creating and inspiring social change. They serve delicious homemade vegan sweet and savoury foods as well as responsibly sourced hot drinks, all the while reducing and reusing as much as we can to lessen our negative impact on the environment.

During the event we'll hear more about Dundee's Net Zero commitment from Councillor John Alexander.

Cllr Alexander has been an elected representative in Dundee since 2012, holding senior positions in the governing administration including Convener of Housing and Convener of Neighbourhood Services.

As the political leader, John and his team set the strategic direction, agenda, and policy development of Dundee City Council. This includes a leading role and oversight of Dundee’s £1 billion Waterfront Regeneration, the creation of the Michelin-Scotland Innovation Parc and the £350 million Tay Cities Deal.
