Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce launches Partners for Business Programme, providing business-led support, inspiration and guidance to organisations dealing with the impacts of coronavirus

Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce, working with its Enterprise and Platinum Partners from across the private, public, education and third sectors, have formed a unique programme of support to help organisations who need guidance and a conversation to talk through the issues they may be facing at this challenging and difficult time.

The Chamber and its Partners are committed to supporting a strong local business sector, promoting Dundee and Angus as a world-class destination, and all making a strong, lasting contribution to local prosperity.

Alison Henderson, CEO of Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce said “At this time of intense change and challenge, we are proud that our Partners have come together to extend that expertise and support to every local business who needs it.

Whether a business wants to talk through implementing a programme of change in their business model, skills to empower their staff to develop new product lines or commercial resilience, or creating robust communication plans to ensure customers are fully engaged, our Partners will have incredible resources and teams with the right skills to lend a supportive and knowledgeable ear.

Being action-focussed and strategic at times of crisis can always feel like a positive step, and now more than ever, businesses need to be planning for recovery and what happens when we are back to normal – whatever that new normal looks like.

I’d encourage anyone who would like to talk things through to contact us to find out more.”

The Partners for Business Programme will include:

  • Expert speakers joining our webinar programmes on key topics
  • Share their knowledge and expertise in our new A View from the Bridge series
  • A mentoring programme to guide and support businesses

This mentoring support may be as little or as much as a series of emails or phone-calls, or a one-off online meeting. This programme will be delivered around a needs-based issue, such as financial management, product line innovation, succession planning, new manager support, commercial development, business development/sales/marketing etc.

The Chamber will facilitate the matching, listening to businesses who need support and finding the right mentor to help guide you through the issue. It has successfully managed hundreds of mentoring pairings over the last three years and the present Coronavirus environment makes the need for practical support more vital than ever.

This programme is open to any business in Dundee & Angus that needs it. Even if the challenge is struggling to cope with the volume of work, having to very swiftly change business model, or manage people remotely, this programme will find you someone in a leading local business who can help and guide and be a sounding board.
