Community hub, The Circle, is hosting a programme of free events as part of Fire Starter Festival 2019. These events will look at stories from founders of different organisations, using design thinking to make a social impact, and what social impact makes people feel. This is the second time that The Circle has been involved in the Festival. The full programme of events can be seen at https://thecircledundee.org.uk/2019/01/10/firestarter-festival-2019-at-the-circle/

The first event will be the Founders’ Stories Breakfast on Thursday 31st January, giving founders the chance to tell their stories and give advice to people setting up their own enterprise. On Friday 1st February, Open Change will help you explore using design thinking to find out how your organisation can make a difference. The final event on Tuesday 5th February will allow organisations to bring anyone that their work helps to discuss how social impact makes people feel. These events are being run in partnership with UnLtd and People’s Postcode Lottery.

Nicola Donnelly, Business Development Officer at The Circle, explains why The Circle wants to be involved in the Festival.

“The national Firestarter Festival is all about learning, creativity, disruption, innovation and transforming ourselves and our organisations. At The Circle, we share the spirit of the Festival and want to ensure that local people have an opportunity to gather together and be motivated, inspired and supported to make changes to their community. “
