MacRoberts has been shortlisted for commercial team of the year at the British Legal Awards alongside CMS, Dechert and Gowling WLG. This is the second consecutive year that the firm has been shortlisted in this category, which saw the team highly commended at the 2016 awards.
The full awards shortlist sees a range of UK and global law firms competing across a range of categories. MacRoberts is the only Scottish-based firm to be recognised at the awards, which are being held in London on 30 November.
MacRoberts’ nomination follows another outstanding year for its corporate and commercial team, which has worked on a range of high-profile transactions throughout the public and private sectors. This included continuing to advise Scottish Government on all contract and commercial matters, along with a range of deals for clients such as BDL Hotels, Breedon Aggregates, Johnston Press plc and IDOX plc.
