The Angus Branch of Save the Children held their annual Autumn Fair on 26 and 27 October at Strathmore Hall at Forfar Mart. Many came out to support the charity who continually need to raise funds and awareness to help children survive and thrive in the most challenging places in the world, to be a child. The stalls ranged from fudge, and chocolate to cashmere, and everything in between. The event raised the amazing total of £8,500.

Elma MacKay, Community Fundraising Manager for the North of Scotland said:

“Save the Children fight for children every single day in 120 countries, we cannot do the work we do without fundraised income and events such as this, based in the community, and organised by the community are so important to help us continue our work. We at Save the Children appreciate all the work our volunteers put in to deliver events such as this and the work they do to deliver real change for children”.

Anyone who would like to organise an event for Save the Children, choose the charity as their Charity of the Year for their workplace, or find out about volunteering please contact Elma on 07464 673558, or e.mackay@savethechildren.org.uk.
