SCC Comment on the Queen's Speech

Commenting on the Queen's Speech as it applies to Scotland, Liz Cameron, Chief Executive of Scottish Chambers of Commerce, said:

On the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill:

'Scottish Chambers of Commerce particularly welcome the legislative path that will bring the Green Investment Bank to Edinburgh.  The decision to bring these headquarter functions to Edinburgh underlines Scotland's strength in both financial services and renewable energy and we look forward to this bringing benefits to the city as soon as possible.'

'Reform of the Employment Tribunal system is essential in order to root out abuses and to give employers more confidence in embarking on the recruitment of new staff.'
