Johnston Carmichael Merger Announced

Johnston Carmichael have announced a merger with Aberdeen headquartered Ritson Smith, a move that will significantly bolster the size of their Scotland-wide firm.

The merger will not only further enhance Johnstone Carmichael's position as the largest independent accounting and business advisory firm in Scotland but with combined revenues in excess of £30m, the firm will now rank among the top 20 accounting firms in the UK. 

Ritson Smith was established in 1924 and has 60 staff based at three offices across the North East of Scotland. Following the merger, the combined firm will operate under the Johnston Carmichael banner and will employ over 500 people in 12 locations throughout Scotland.
