Angus College Students Help Form Government Litter Strategy

Twenty students from Angus College have been chosen to take part in a Government consultation towards a new litter control strategy. The project is a partnership between the Scottish Government, the campaigning group Zero Waste Scotland and the youth information group Young Scot, and they are anxious that young people have a voice in their decision making.

Young Scot representative Lisa Murphy says their views will be vital: \'The strategy will focus on three key areas including Enforcement, Information and Infrastructure and the Government want a snap shot into young people\'s views and feelings. The students may well find that their comments will appear in the Strategy document.\'

Learner Engagement officer, Katie Anderson says: \'We\'re always striving to find opportunities to enhance student course work and help them stand out in the work place, and this is a great example.\'
