Since the beginning of January 2021, the Chamber of Commerce has cleared over 500 shipments worth over £10 million.
HOW

Alison Henderson, Chief Executive at Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce, said: “The difficulties in obtaining a Transit Declaration have been a pain point for traders since Brexit as many Hauliers and Transport companies have been unable to issue them due to high demand, or traders have not been aware that they need a Transit declaration. Our new Transit Declaration service ensures that local businesses can get all the required customs paperwork from one place and streamlines the process of moving goods through EU states

ChamberCustoms Ltd is the customs advisory, training and brokerage service operated by the British Chambers of Commerce and delivered by Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce.

It harnesses the reach, expertise, and knowledge of the Chamber network to offer a fast, reliable, and compliant service.

Alison said “Our Customs Service has helped local businesses in Tayside and Fife successfully transition and adapt to the new customs procedures for EU trade. We’re able to offer a ‘one stop shop’ with direct links to all sea, air, rail and road ports and terminals across the country.”
